Rolling for Action points
Action Point rolls are crucial in shaping the flow and tempo of Small Wars. Your choice of AP generation method directly influences how fast the game plays, how often units act, and how dynamic each round feels. Small Wars supports three official AP systems, each offering a distinct gameplay experience tailored to different player preferences.
Legion Armies
represent unrelenting, organised, or supernatural forces that cannot be defeated through conventional means. Whether depicting disciplined Roman infantry formations, cursed undead legions, or endless waves of summoned creatures, Legion armies trade durability for persistence—fragile units that return again and again until the enemy’s will breaks. This format introduces new tactical dynamics, where victory is not achieved by wiping out enemy forces, but by shattering their morale and eliminating key command units.
